Day 38 July 26
Saulte Ste Marie ON - Wawa ON
The drive was again kind of boring except along the St Lawrence River.
Moose Jaw is the home of the snowbirds aerobatic flying team and also the world's largest moose. There was a friendly feud with Norway but Canada won out when Mac got his new antlers. He is 34' tall and weighs 10 tons.
there are numerous small dinosaurs all over town.
Thunder Bay to Portage la Prairie MB
228 kms
July 27 was a day of major thunderstorms. I thought it was the end at one point with lightning and thunder crashing all around me. All the cars on the highway were parked on the road, no shoulder, 4way lights on. You could not see at all to drive.
Airdrie AB - Vernon BC
I only went as far as Wawa as the drive along Lake Superior here is awesome. Went to a few places I missed before. There are so many waterfalls and beaches along the top of Lake Superior.

My friend Debbie crossed paths again LOL We saw each other on Day 12 at mutual friends.
Pebble beach. Beautiful rounded stones for 1 1/2 miles
Spent some time with my sister-in-law in Portage. Forgot to get a picture. I lived in Portage for a year once upon a time.
Stopped in Moose Jaw and went on the trolley ride through town. I have been here several times over the years. The underground tunnels, which connected with the railway, where Al Capone supposedly ran alcohol from Canada to the USA during prohibition was very interesting. Moose Jaw is very rich with history. On the trolley through town we went by several historic buildings. These are only a few of the 50+ buildings they have.
Dinner today was back to seafood. This linguine was so full of different seafood. The clams are locally harvested. Weird looking but were good.. Oh, and apple crisp to die for.
White River - home of Winnie the Pooh
Days 39-40 July 27-28
Home today. 13,910 kms in total for the trip. I have mixed emotions because I loved PEI and Nova Scotia. I could easily live there. I will miss the seafood that's for sure.
The trip through the Rockies was brutal. Very heavy traffic. I made it in 8 hours instead of 6.
THE END
396 kms
Made friends with one of them LOL
Finally July 28th I hit the 4 line divided highway just before Winnipeg. I was so happy after 5 days of Ontario's trans Canada hwy 17. Two way traffic, some passing lanes, lines of trucks and campers. I almost got out and kissed the road LOL
Beautiful spot on a river.
One minute this ........
Today was off to Airdrie (near Calgary) with a trip through Drumheller. Driving into Drumheller is so cool.

The logs collapsed again, oh well, the marshmallows were good!
These 3 days were all about visiting friends and eating of course LOL
Wawa ON - Thunder Bay ON
I didn't pay enough attention at girl guide camp. Instead of going to campfire building class, me and a friend were out smoking punk wood in the woods. I did manage to get the marshmallows I was craving
